………The way they walked, the way they talked, showed determination. They would not allow this to breakdown their families, their grit, their community. I have traveled and lived in many places, but this was truly inspiring.

Thou Shall Not Covet Thy Neighbors Goods

These people were not going to be denied. How can you turn your back on this? I had to stay and volunteer. The “Camp” allowed me to park my RV there. For the next year I watched this community grow to become independent and self sufficient.

    Die If Caught

These were proud, determined people I grew to respect. Eventually the community became self sufficient and Emergency Communities and first reponder’s were no longer needed. So EC the hippie camp that helped make a difference closed down. I stayed till the final days.

    Man At Window

I left with the feeling that I could have done more. Five years later, there is still much to be done.

    Wrecked Community

But no place for the lone volunteer to work out of, I continued my journey with the greatest thought’s and inspiration to this day.
