Vintage prints are available for sale from the artists personal collection. Tony Ward has always printed his own black and white photographs. Toning was part of the process with a mixture of 1:9 selenium toning to preserve the picture over time. The archival prints are in limited editions, signed and stamped on recto with some notations; catalogue number, fingerprint and other dark room notes – if any – can be found in verso. Color prints were usually printed at Professional Color, his lab of choice in Philadelphia, the city in which he lives and works. The artist rarely printed more than 10 copies of any particular negative during a printing period.
Tony Ward’s photographs are in many public as well as private collections around the world. A partial list of public collections: Fotomuseum Winterthur, Zurich, Switzerland, Instituto Cultural Banco Santos, San Paulo, Brazil. Museum für Moderne Kunst, Frankfurt, Germany. Museum Ludwig, Cologne, Germany. The Eastman Kodak Collection, Rochester, New York. A partial list of private collections: W.M. Hunt, New York, New York. Amedeo M. Turello Collection, Monte Carlo, Monaco. Gunter Braus, Heidelberg, Germany.
